A blend of fun, excitement and learning at Branféré, a wildlife and botanical park in the Morbihan. Caring for the planet and for living creatures, this is a wonderful educational setting for finding out more about the species we live with.
Paul et Hélène Joude, who established Branféré, were looking to "create" a Paradise on Earth in France, where animals could live in partial freedom and in total harmony with people and nature.
You won't find any lions, panthers or other major predators in this zoo. But you will be surprised by the wide range of primates, birds and other animals from the 4 corners of the globe. These are divided into three zones: the Indian Valley, the African Plain and the marine area.
Animals live in a wonderful landscaped area where they have space to move around! A botanist from the 18th century was responsible for constructing this haven of peace, planting rare species and a wide variety of trees and flowers, which provide food for the animals.
And it's not just the animals and flowers that are happy here at Branféré. Kids of all ages are too! The park's mission is to protect the environment for sustainable development, while educating visitors in a fun way too!
To do so, there's a nature school for learning about and respecting biodiversity. Holidaymakers can also use an app for geo-tracking and for a guided tour of the zoo.
As well as the wildlife and bio park, Branféré has a really novel tree-top adventure trail, surrounded by netting, where you won't be constrained by harnesses either: the Parcabout!
A fun and exciting time for unwinding with your family or friends.
